Animal studies have shown the hair growth effect of LPS.
Hair growth is associated with blood flow and hormones. In experiments using a mouse, when LPS was applied to a mouse with back hair shaved, although it was inferior to minoxidil, results were obtained that the hair grows faster than in the mouse that does not have anything. It was shown that this mechanism was associated with higher expression of the hair growth-related FGF7 and the blood flow-promoting VEGF in hair papilla cells
